Allamuchy Mountain State Park

Kittatinny Valley State Park
With 3,348 acres, four lakes and rails-to-trials you'll find plenty to do here year round. You may even encounter a dog sled team on the trail.
Stephens State Park
This 805-acre park offers trails for biking, hiking, cross-country skiing and horseback riding. There is also camping, picnicking, hunting and fishing in the Musconetcong River.
Stokes State Forest
Hike or drive to the top of Sunrise Mountain on the Appalachian Trail at 1,653 feet above sea level. Spend the day in this 16,000-acre wildness swimming, boating or fishing in Stony Lake or camp, hike, horseback ride, or bike one of it's many trails. Winter sports abound as well.
Swartswood State Park
New Jersey's first state park, you'll find swimming, boating and sailing on Swartswood Lake. You'll also find a large variety of trails for everything including roller blading. Along with all kinds of summer & winter sports you'll even find a bird observatory facility.
Wawayanda State Park
With over 40 miles of marked trails, including 25 miles of the Appalachian Trail, you'll find 18,235 acres to cover by foot, bike, horse, skis or snowmobile. When you get tired of that go boating, swimming or fishing on Lake Wawayada, or ice fishing or skating in the winter.
Worthington State Forest
Located on the Delaware River, these 6,421 acres offers spectacular of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. There are many trails to hike, bike, ski or snowmobile on, in the Appalachian Trail leading to High Point State Park. Canoe or camp along the river or hike to protected Sunfish Pond.
