Lisa Alexander, LEED AP will be teaching a class on Green Real Estate on July 28th, 2009 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Pocono Mountain Association of Realtors office to a sold out crowd of 65 realtors. "I'm very impressed that the Pocono Realtors are ready to embrace and learn about green homes and very honored to have the opportunity to teach them", said Ms. Alexander. The fact that the seminar sold out so quickly is a good sign that our local realtors are moving in a positive and forward thinking direction when it comes to the reality of our homes, their energy consumption, and their large carbon footprints.
This is just a first introductory class for this Association of Realtors but we hope there will be more to come. In the future Ms. Alexander plans on offering more detailed and focused courses on individual topics like alternative energy, building systems, healthy building products etc...
Lisa Alexander is a LEED AP, (Leadership in Environmental & Energy Efficient Design Accredited Professional by the United States Green Building Council). Lisa has also been appointed to the PAR Advisory Group on Climate Change and is a Certified Ecosociate/EcoBroker. Ms. Alexander develops and implements customized CSR & Sustainability Programs for Businesses. She is the Founder and CEO of Green Life, Inc., a company which is a registered member of the US Green Building Council and committed to educating the public and corporations on how to build healthier lives for ourselves and the planet through everyday practical "green" living. Lisa's philosophy on green living is based on finding simple, achievable and affordable ways to incorporate sustainable practices in all aspects of our daily lives, including the way we work and build.
At Green Life we help business and homeowners find easy and practical ways to save money, and energy while improving and preserving our health and that of our planet, for future generations." LA
