Grey Towers National Historic Site
A National Historic Landmark, this French Castle-like home of the late Gifford Pinchot, America's first forester, founder of USDA Forest Service, and former Govenor of PA. Grey Towers now serves as a museum and the Pinchot Conservation Institute. House and garden tours are offered every day from Memorial Day weekend through October 31. Activities include short hiking trails, on-site programs, and conservation education programs for all ages.

Pocono Indian Museum
The Pocono Indian Museum is the only museum in Northeastern Pennsylvania dedicated to showing the history of the Delaware Indian. It traces the history of the Delawares through displays of ancient artifacts, weapons, and tools that form chronological commentary on life among the Indians for thousands of years.

Resica Falls Scout Reservation
Resica Falls is a busy place year round with summer activities including 8 weeks of Boy Scout camping. Big Springs and Firestone are open for weekend camping during the off season, along with cabins available all over reservation for hunting season. Resica Falls is also home to 6 miles of the best fly fishing in Pennsylvania, and is stocked several times a year with trout.

Steamtown National Historic Site
Steamtown offers walking tours of the Locomotive Repair Shop almost every day of the year. This building houses the machinery used to make parts for steam locomotives, and provides space for repairs and restoration projects. Short train rides are available thru Thanksgiving Weekend. Longer train rides are available on selected weeekends during the summer and fall. Steamtown offers a Technology Museum and History Museum. These modern buildings explore the people, history, technology and lore of steam railroading. The museums include images, artifacts, films, restored freight and passenger cars and a sectioned steam locomotive.

Tri State Monument
One of the city's most famous landmarks is the Tri-States Rock where a person can stand on three states at one time. The rock is located just under the Interstate Rt. 84 bridge. This is also the site where a 100-year boundary dispute between the colonies of East and West Jersey and New York was finally resolved in 1769.

Zane Grey Museum
Grey, an avid fisherman, was especially fond of the setting in Lackawaxen, PA, just below the confluence of the Lackawaxen and Delaware Rivers and just north of the Roebling Bridge. The Zane Grey Museum displays Grey's memorabilia, photographs, and books in the rooms that served as Grey's office and study.
The National Park Service preserves Grey's home as part of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. The museum is open seasonally, usually Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
