Green Living

Lisa Alexander, LEED AP will be teaching a class on Green Real Estate on July 28th, 2009 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Pocono Mountain Association of Realtors office to a sold out crowd of 65 realtors. "I'm very impressed that the Pocono Realtors are ready to embrace and learn about green homes and very honored to have the opportunity to teach them", said Ms. Alexander. The fact that the seminar sold out so quickly is a good sign that our local realtors are moving in a positive and forward thinking direction when it comes to the reality of our homes, their energy consumption, and their large carbon footprints.

This is just a first introductory class for this Association of Realtors but we hope there will be more to come. In the future Ms. Alexander plans on offering more detailed and focused courses on individual topics like alternative energy, building systems, healthy building products etc...
